Call for Papers: Consortium for Chiropractic Research

Editorial Staff

The Consortium for Chiropractic Research (CCR) has announced a call for papers to be presented at the 9th Annual Conference on Research and Education (CORE), June 13-16 in San Diego, California. This annual conference of chiropractic researchers, educators, and leaders is an integral part of the annual meeting of the California Chiropractic Association and attracts a large and diverse audience. It is a forum in which to share research work with the chiropractic community.

This year, all submissions will be in the form of poster presentations. These types of presentations allow conference attendees to speak directly with the authors. Authors, in turn, often receive new insights from interested viewers. The poster presentation submissions can be on the following topics:

  • Evaluation of chiropractic treatment procedures

  • Evaluation of chiropractic diagnostic procedures

  • Issues in chiropractic education

  • Issues in chiropractic clinical practice

  • Assessment of adjustive techniques

  • Chiropractic professional issues

  • Chiropractic Standards of Care

The deadline for submission of abstracts is February 28, 1996. Abstracts must state the objectives of the poster, state the research problem that is addressed, describe the scientific methods employed, results obtained, and briefly explain the significance of the findings. If nonresearch information is presented, the abstract must state the information and briefly explain the significance to the chiropractic profession. Each abstract must include the presenter's name, affiliation, and title of presentation.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee, and authors will be notified of the committee's decision by March 15, 1996. Please mail abstracts to:
