Foot Levelers Announces New U.S. Patent on Gait Cycle System

Gait Cycle System - Copyright – Stock Photo / Register Mark (Roanoke, VA) – Recognizing its distinct proprietary features, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued a patent for the Gait Cycle System™ found in Foot Levelers' Ultra™ orthotics and Extreme Gait Cycle System™ in the Extreme series of orthotics. The Gait Cycle System™ is the first orthotic design to provide shock protection and support during every phase of the gait cycle.

This comprehensive system begins with a Zorbacel® heel pad to absorb damaging heel-strike shock. As the foot moves into mid-stance, the StanceGuard™ provides the variable firmness, flexibility, and control needed for proper biomechanical support. At toe-off, the forefoot gets an energetic "boost" from a pad of Propacel™, Foot Levelers' new propulsive material, helping to conserve energy and to reduce fatigue as the body advances back to the heel-strike phase. Whether running, walking, or standing, the Gait Cycle System provides maximum support and protection for the entire body.

"The Gait Cycle System is truly revolutionary and is changing the world of orthotics technology," said Kent Greenawalt, president and CEO of Foot Levelers. "It supports patients every step of the way, taking them to the next level of forward motion and fatigue reduction."

Foot Levelers is the sole provider of orthotics incorporating the Gait Cycle System and Extreme Gait Cycle System. For more information, please call toll free: 1-800-553-4860 (from Canada: 1-800-344-4860), or visit www.footlevelers.com to learn more about this technology.
