Kerry Bone, co-founder, former chair, and current director of research and development of MediHerb, will soon be teaching students of NYCC's School of Applied Clinical Nutrition, where he will serve as a guest lecturer, curriculum consultant and presenter for the highly regarded online master's degree program.
Professor Bone will also continue to assist in the development of unique extraction processes that maintain herbs in their whole form, complete with their essential components, and is known for having created Kerry Bone's Essentials for Standard Process, Inc. (the exclusive U.S. distributor of MediHerb products).
Professor Bone previously taught at a number of colleges and universities in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the U.S., and developed curriculum and course material for the Australian College of Phytotherapy's Master of Health Science (Herbal Medicine) program, delivered in conjunction with the University of New England, located in New South Wales, Australia. His work appears in 10 books – among them Clinical Applications of Ayurvedic and Chinese Herbs (1996) and Principles and Practice of Phytotherapy (co-authored with Simon Mills in 2000, with the second edition published in 2013) – and countless research papers and peer-reviewed articles.
A native of Australia who currently resides in Warwick, Queensland, Professor Bone completed his Bachelor of Science (Hons-First Class) in Chemistry at Melbourne University in 1973, and his diploma in phytotherapy from The School of Herbal Medicine, England (distinguished student) in 1984. His quest for effective herbal therapy and rigid standards for uncompromising quality stimulated his co-founding of MediHerb.
