National Board of Chiro. Examiners Selects New Director of Written Examinations

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) is pleased to announce that Bruce L. Shotts, DC, has been promoted to director of written examinations effective January 2014.

Dr. Shotts will assume the duties in this area from Dr. Martin Kollasch when the latter moves to the position of NBCE executive vice president.

Dr. Shotts is a 1989 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he received his doctor of chiropractic degree and his bachelor of human biology degree. He also holds a diplomate of acupuncture (1999) and is currently completing his master's degree in human nutrition.

Dr. Shotts served NBCE as a chiropractic consultant from 1991 until he joined the staff as a chiropractic specialist on a part-time basis in 2009. According to NBCE Executive Vice President Horace Elliott, "Dr. Shotts' experience and background as a practitioner and NBCE consultant make him particularly well-suited to lead the Written Examinations Department."
