$6 Million Man

Stanley Greenfield, RHU

The Six Million Dollar Man - do you remember when that show was on television? I may be dating myself by mentioning it. It was about a man, Steve Austin, who was "rebuilt" at a cost of $6 million. He had super skills and could run very fast; he was a true champion. Now that I think back on that series, I know a lot of $6 million people. It is not as rare as most people think. Whenever I lecture at a chiropractic college, I meet a lot of "potential" $6 million people. (I am dropping the "man" in favor of "people," since it is more politically correct.) Whenever I speak at a state association convention, I meet quite a few $6 million people. They are not always aware that they are $6 million people, but they really are. Who are these super "$6 million people?" Take a good look in the mirror right now and you will see one!

You, and every chiropractor I know, have the real potential of being a $6 million person, just like Steve Austin. It really is quite easy. All you have to do is start a practice at age 30 and average $200,000 per year to age 60, and you will be a $6 million person! That's all it takes. You don't even have to be the star of a television series or have major surgery. Treat patients, grow your practice, and there you are!

Have you ever thought about that? Did you ever think you could earn that much money? The real magic of it all is that you get to be a $6 million person by helping people. That makes it even more special. Steve Austin helped people, but not the way you can. I'll bet that if Steve Austin had known what you could do, he would have quit his television show and gone back to school so that he could be "Steve Austin, DC." Poor Steve. He will never know the real magic of being a chiropractor and really helping people.

You are not Steve Austin, but I hope you now realize that you are the "real" $6 million person and that you really help people is a special way. You may be more than a $6 million person. You have the potential of being an $8 million or even a $10 million person. It is all up to you and how many people you help. Ninety percent of the world has never been helped by a special person like you, so your real potential in unlimited. Steve Austin could never be more than a $6 million man, and that was only on a television show. You have no limits, other than the ones you impose on yourself.

In every episode, Steve Austin's power was never limited and he was always the $6 million man. What are your "scripts"? How does your "show" portray you? Is your potential unlimited, or are you still living in that unreal world and playing the "woe is me" person, instead of the $6 million person? I hope you realize that the choice is all up to you. You write your own scripts. What script have you written for yourself so far? If you are not playing the $6 million person, maybe it is time to "rewrite" your life scripts and assume the role you should be playing in your life.

Here is a sample "script" that you need to learn, starting right now. All you have to do is write it down and fill in your name in the blank:

My name is ________________, DC, and I am the $6 million person. I can earn millions by helping thousands of people. This is my proper place in life, and I deserve it. I am the $6 million person.

Steve Austin, eat your heart out, here I come!
