Palmer West Opens Third Outreach Clinic

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Palmer West College of Chiropractic has opened a third outreach clinic, a satellite facility based at the CityTeam Ministries' drug and alcohol recovery center in San Jose. CityTeam is a nonprofit agency that has been working with local businesses and groups to meet the needs of the homeless and poor in Santa Clara County since 1957.

Palmer West has maintained outreach clinics at the Community Chiropractic Center, and one at the Salvation Army Drug and Alcohol Center for more than five years. The care at these two facilities has been primarily provided by 12th quarter Palmer West students. The CityTeam Clinic will be served by 10th quarter chiropractic interns three times a week. They'll be bringing chiropractic care and doing physicals on the 75 residents (those in an 18-month recover program), and 100 or so other individuals who pass through the soup line every day.

Andre KnustGraichen, DC, oversees all of Palmer Wests' outreach facilities as attending clinician. Kent Voorhies, DC, a 1982 PCCW alumnus, assists Dr. KnustGraichen, primarily at the Community Chiropractic Center.
