Texas College of Chiropractic (TCC) will induct George P. McAndrews, Esq., and William M. Harris, D.C., into TCC's Chiropractic Hall of Honor, April 4, 1992.
TCC's Hall of Honor was created in 1976 by the college's board of regents to honor the chiropractic profession's greatest leaders. Both inductees have had long and fruitful associations with chiropractic, and continue their diligent efforts to serve the profession.
Dr. William Harris is the president of Practice Consultants, Inc., a chiropractic consulting firm; president of the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Education (FACE); and a member of the Society for Chiropractic Management Consultants (SCMC). Among the professional honors he has received are the "Humanitarian of the Year" award from the Georgia Chiropractic Association (1987), a fellowship from the Palmer Academy (1987), "Chiropractor of the Year" from the Parker Chiropractic Research Foundation (1952), and an honorary Doctorate of Science degree from Trinity University of Chicago (1949). Dr. Harris and FACE are active in efforts to raise funds for chiropractic research and education. FACE has contributed over $2,700,000 to chiropractic colleges and research.
Attorney George McAndrews, the counsel for the plaintiffs in the landmark Wilk et al., v. AMA et al., is the senior partner in the Chicago law firm of McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd. For the past 29 years his practice has been devoted to patent, trademark, franchise, antitrust, and product liability suits.
Mr. McAndrews received his Bachelor of Science degree (1959) and a Juris Doctor degree (1962) from the University of Notre Dame. He served as editor-in-chief of the Notre Dame Law Review and later served as law clerk to the Honorable Luther M. Swygert, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit. Mr. McAndrews has lectured on the use of closed circuit television in discovery proceedings before the Judicial Conference of the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and has addressed the Bar Association of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on the subject of use of juries in patent cases. He currently serves as outside general counsel to the ACA.

The night before the induction, TCC has scheduled its first annual spring "TEXtravaganza," a fund raiser to benefit the college's anatomy building and improve handicap access on campus. The event features dinner and dancing and a silent auction, including a football autographed by Cowboy coach Tom Landry and former Cowboy star quarterback, Roger Staubach; the Grammy-winning album of the Broadway hit "The Will Rogers Follies" autographed by the cast; and a theater party for 10 in Houston followed by a private wine and cheese reception with the cast.

Many relevant diagnostic signs are not performed deliberately by the examiner or by the patient at the examiner’s direction. They are observed as the patient reacts to their condition. Fortin’s finger sign, Minor’s sign, and Vanzetti’s sign are three examples of this principle.
Spearheaded by burgeoning scientific and clinical research literature, psychedelics have reached a level of media coverage and popular interest that has not been seen for over half a century. By “psychedelics,” we are referring to the unique class of substances that includes psilocybin (the active compound found in so-called “magic mushrooms”), LSD, dimethyltryptamine (DMT), ayahuasca, 5-MeO-DMT, and mescaline – each of which occurs in the natural world (except for LSD, which is a semi-synthetic compound).
While working at the Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M., one of the primary care physicians stated that imaging every patient prior to receiving chiropractic was not medically necessary. It was at that point I reconsidered the need for the imaging of every patient to avoid malpractice.
